Speech and Language Therapy Service

Gwynedd and Anglesey Speech and Language Therapy Services for children

Speech and language therapists provide services that are evidence based, which anticipate and respond to the speech, language, communication and/or swallowing needs of individuals. Speech and language therapists work in partnership with these individuals, their families, and other agencies, to minimise the impact of their difficulties on their wellbeing, and their ability to participate in their daily lives.

Speech and language therapists are the lead experts in the field of communication and swallowing disorders. Speech and language Therapists lead assessment, provide differentiated diagnosis, and manage interventions (input/support) of individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists)
